Enough of
this cold weather!! On the assumption that the weather will be warmer,
the March meeting will be breakfast as usual at the hangar. If
temperatures are not cooperative, we will have heaters. Bring a new
member prospect. Let's try to recruit one new member each this year
and bring our membership level back up to past levels. We need new
blood and new ideas.
Steve Dee
will be our speaker. He will be doing a power point presentation on
motor gliding. I have heard Steve's presentation's on various subjects
at FAA safety meetings. He is an outstanding presenter with an
interesting subject.
We are
planning what I hope will become the first annual Chapter 182 Areo
Market for the April meeting. I would like some idea of what our local
membership would bring to such an event. If you have aviation related
items that you no longer have a use for, please bring a list to the
meeting. We will accept anything aviation related from airplanes to
cotter keys. Items may be donated to Chapter182 or put on consignment
with a portion of the sales price donated to the Chapter. I have
contacted the chapter that runs the AeroMart at the convention for
information on how to structure the event. We will advertise on the
national EAA web site and inform surrounding chapters. There is no
other event like this in our area. Hopefully, we can attract buyers
and sellers outside our chapter and make this a banner event that will
be an annual fund raiser for us.
See you
at the hangar.
